Hi, my name is Marian and I actually work as a full-time artist in Dubai (www.AzureArt.com). Before coming to Dubai I used to work as a Sharepoint developer for a number of years and have kept this up in my spare time. Like a lot of people I was really looking forward to the metro opening on 9 September but whenever I tried to find a site that had all the information in one place, I failed! I looked at www.DubaiMetro.ae but that just redirected to the home page of the RTA site. The RTA site just seems to have info on the build and if it has other stuff then I can't find it! Maybe they are relying on the media to disseminate the information (and they are doing a good job of it I admit). But when I travel somewhere I don't want to have to google various sites to find out where to get tickets, how much they are etc, it all takes time. So, to cut a long story short, I had a bit of time on my hands and thought I would set this site up.

I will try to keep it up to date and will also try and keep it personal with some of my experiences on the Metro once it opens. I will also try to let people add their own opinions on various matters but in light of spammers I will have to put in some content approval on the site which may mean, if I am away from my computer for a while, that your comments don't get approved immediately - please bear with me :-)

Anyway, thank you for using the site and do let me know if there is anything that I have missed that you want to see, albeit it will be an ongoing project for the next few months at least.
